Eddie has said that he will ba glad to see the back of 2003 and is looking ahead for a better all round year next year.
Eddie suffered both on and off the track this season. Not only did he have an extremely unlucky season this year, which saw him finish way down in the final standings, but he also suffered off the track with financial trouble, legal trouble and personal loss.
"I said that 2002 was one of the best years of my life." said Eddie in a recent interview. "I was hoping that this year would be even better but everything seems to have gone bad this year. It got to a point in the middle of the season where I almost couldn't be bothered any more. I didn't give up, I got my head down and fought. I put all the problems I was having out of my head and I really believe that I am a stronger person for it.
"My situation is good now, I am enjoying myself and am really happy with my position in 'datapartners'. I am in good shape for next year and I will be working even harder on my fitness to make sure I perform my best."
