After weeks of deliberation, Eddie has confirmed that he will compete in all 11 rounds of the 2004 sprint championship. This comes after months of speculation regarding his future, as many believed he would not be continuing this season.
The young Brit, who had a dismal 2003, is aiming much higher in 2004. "I am confident of having a much better season this year. I have put 2003 behind me now and am concentrating one hundred percent on this year. I just need a little bit more confidence behind the wheel."
Eddie admitted that he was getting a little concerned about the situation. "It was all left rather late this year. Last season I signed up right after Christmas. This year it was left until three weeks before the first race so of course I was starting to get a bit worried. Now that it has been all sorted I can relax a bit more and just concentrate on the first race.
"I am confident of having a much better year. After all, it can't really get much worse that last year can it?!"
The first race of the season is at Buckmore Park on February 22nd.
