Eddie has said that he is looking forward to the upcoming race at Clay Pigeon and hopes to have a better result in the heavyweight category.
Eddie was speaking earlier today at the launch of his new website. "It will be interesting to see how I perform in a heavier class. I'm not one to make excuses, but I have been at a real disadvantage overthe last couple of years - being one of the heaviest drivers. So it will be nice to be on more of a level playing field for once. I'm really looking forward to it."
Eddie was quick to dismiss any suggestions that he will be more successful, however. "I don't expect to be winning A finals or anything. I have no idea how I will cope, we'll just have to wait and see. I'd like to think that I'd me a more consistent front runner in the B final and hopefully break into the occassional A, but I'm not holding my breath. I certainly won't be challenging for race wins!"
Eddie made his debut two years ago in the heavywight class and had a second place on the grid in the C final before having to switch class due to being underweight.
"Despite my recent dip in (relative) performance, I am a much better driver that I was two years ago so I should do better than that, but as Murray Walker always said 'Anything can happen and usually does' - I might get knocked off in all of my heats, which wouldn't surprise me!""
