Eddie will be eager for a good result this weekend at Ellough Park after a five week break since the last race at Whilton Mill.
Eddie goes into this race on the back of news that his IMSD Racing team-mates scored their fourth win out of five starts in the City Challenge Championship. The duo of Stephen Deuchar and Ian Miller narrowly avoided being taken out by the third place kart before snatching the lead off the leader on the last lap when they ran out of fuel.
Having put the disappointment of Whilton Mill behind him (where he was excluded from third place after an incident with Chris Davis), he will travel to the circuit where last year he was the victim of yet another controversial steward decision where he was penalised for taking to an escape road after he was hit by another driver. Despite this, Eddie is non-plussed about the coming race.
"It is a circuit that I have never really liked in that I have never felt comfortable behind the wheel. Having said that, I have generally had clean races their in the past so I am hoping for another good result."
When asked what he thought his chances were of making the A final, Eddie replied,
"I always have the possibility to qualify. In this category I have a higher chance because so far I have always been either fighting at the front of the B final or in the middle of the A so, based on that, I think my chances are fairly high.
"I'm not going to make any predictions. I'm just going to go there - as I do everywhere - and just do the best job that I can."
The heavyweight category will be held in the moring on Saturday.
