After their exceptional performance at Spa at the beginning of the month, Eddie has said that IMSD Racing are in great shape to push for the championship.
The team stormed to a commanding 7 lap win in the 10Hr Clubman class at Spa, despite losing 11 laps in the pits with a broken drive chain.
"Nobody spun, we had 26 perfect pitstops and we all drove with that perfect combination of speed and consistency that wins endurance races.
"It is just plain bad luck that we haven't already won an Inters race this year. I was taken out at the start at Buckmore (but we still finished second, 21 seconds behind the winners), Ian Wilson spun at Rye and was taken out at Bayford. I think without that, we would have probably won all three races so far.
"As long as we can carry our performance from Belgium through the rest of the season, I really think we are in good shape."
The next Inters race is at Clay Pigeon in Dorset on the 27th May. Eddie will not be driving but will be closely following the team.
"Clay is the last race I will miss this year. I'm obviously a little disappointed to miss that race because it is my favourite UK circuit and I usually go very well there. I'm sure the team will go really well there and I think they have a great chance of the win!"
