Eddie Hall will compete in the Lance Yeomans Memorial race on Sunday 28th August, it has been confirmed. IMSD Racing have entered a four kart team in the special endurance event that is being held in remembrance of the father of top Club100 driver, Ben Yeomans, who died earlier in the year.
Eddie said of the event. “I am glad to be competing. I personally didn’t know Lance, but he was obviously a very well respected member of the Club100 family. I am happy to be part of an event that pays homage to someone who has obviously made such an impact.”
The official announcement of IMSD’s entry has been announced quite late due to Ian Miller not being able to participate. The team are in the process of recruiting a stand in for this one race. An announcement on the replacement driver is expected to be released on the official IMSD Racing website in the next few days. Visit www.imsd-racing.co.uk for up to date information.
In fact the deal was announced so late that Eddie admitted to forgetting about it. “Stephen mentioned shortly after the race was added to the calendar that he would like to enter the team, but then Ian (Miller) said that he would not be available due to prior commitments and nothing more was mentioned. I just assumed that we wouldn’t be competing and forgot all about it!
“I am really glad we are racing in the event because racing for IMSD is always great and also it is obviously a special event and I want to be a part of it and pay my respects to the whole Yeomans family.”
This event now brings the total number of races Eddie will be competing in this year at 20…and counting.
