Eddie is hoping that the recent results at Clay Pigeon are a sign of things to come for the rest of the season. Eddie made his first appearance at a sprint race this year and scored a fine second place in the B final to make his fifth consecutive A final. The previous day, his IMSD Racing team-mates scored another solid result in the Premier Clubman CHampionship, finishing fourth in class and eighth overall, only narrowly missing out on a class podium.
Speaking on his official Website, Eddie said "We had a really awful start to the season. The first two races were just complete disasters. Things started to come together at Whilton Mill and of course a second consecutive class win at Spa has raised our confidence a bit more.
"The team did a great job at Clay from what I heard - Ian [Wilson], again showing brilliant qualifying prowess. My sprint race on the Sunday was quite successful as well so I'm hoping that this is a sign of things to come..."
As he is only competing in 3 sprint races this year, Eddie has said that he is fully focussed on the endurance championship.
"We are now running fourth in the Clubman Championship, which is pretty good considering the start we had. Now that we are more settled, the results will start coming. Because I'm now doing all of the remaining races, I am totally focussed on getting the job done and taking the fight to Tanked Up Racing as much as possible. I think it will be a tough job to beat those guys as they are bloody quick, but I think we can spring a few surprises this year."
