With the double header at Buckmore Park fast approaching, Eddie gives his predictions on his official website.
Round 7 of the endurance championship will be held on Saturday and Eddie has said that he expects IMSD Racing to struggle again, but thinks that they will be more competitive than in Wales.
“Basically Llandow was a new track and one that was slightly more difficult to overtake. Our poor qualifying performance hampered us greatly at that circuit and we never really made any real impression. All of us know Buckmore really well and it is a circuit that is much easier to overtake on. Providing that we don’t make any mistakes and our kart is working, I think that we could possibly fight for a podium, but realistically I think that is probably a long shot at the moment.”
Eddie also thinks that the weather might play a part in proceedings.
“I would rather it stayed dry for both days but I think if it rains on Saturday that will play to our advantage. We are all pretty safe in the wet and the lower fuel consumption could play into our hands strategically. I think if it stays dry we will struggle a bit.”
When asked about his thoughts for the sprint on Sunday, Eddie’s reply was simple.
“I want to finish my last sprint race on a high!
“I had my best ever finish at Llandow last month and I would obviously like to have a similar result here. I think the chances of that are highly unlikely but I would like to make the A final and finish as high up as possible… we will see.”
