The line-up for this year’s Le Mans 24 Hour kart race has finally been confirmed. After months of negotiations and deals that have gone by the way-side, team captain, Stephen Deuchar, has put together a promising team capable of challenging for top honours. Stephen, Eddie and Seth will be partnered by RBB's Dan Dore and Simon Young, with Ashley Evans completing the six man team. The six drivers have over 10 championship crowns between them and a wealth of experience:
Eddie Hall
1997 ProKart champion, 2005 Inters Endurance Champion, 2005 and 2006 Champion of Spa, currently leading the Sprint championship
Stephen Deuchar
2004 City Challenge champion, 2005 Inters Endurance champion, 2005 and 2006 Champion of Spa
Seth Deuchar
2005 Junior Royale Formula 6 Champion, currently second in the Sprint championship
Dan Gore
2006 Inters Endurance champion, 2007 Champion of du Var
Simon Young
2006 Inters Endurance champion, 2007 Champion of du Var
Ashley Evans
6 x Le Mans 24 hour races, Former BUKC Driver
The team basically comprises half of the old IMSD Racing team and two thirds of RBB, with the third member, Pete O’Connor, racing in the sister kart with Jordan Hill and Stuart Davis. The addition of Le Mans veteran, Ashley Evans, adds much needed experience to the squad.
Originally, Ashley Babblee and Harry Landy were rumoured to be joining the team. However, this appears to have fallen through, apparently due to a definiency in payment.
