Eddie will take a break from his duties with 3Cubed at next weekend’s race at Whilton Mill to drive alongside Harry Landy at ‘Ave it Racing’ in the Clubman championship. The deal was agreed last week and will ensure Eddie gets to compete in both the endurance event on the Saturday and the sprint race on Sunday without directly competing with his current team mates.
“I’m glad to be joining Harry for this race. He was one of the first to offer me a space when I became available and I’m looking forward to racing with him. Obviously the convenience of racing in the Clubman is good because I don’t have to worry about upsetting my current team. Also being a two man team means I should get more track time than usual, which should be an advantage for the sprint race on Sunday.”
Ave it Racing have only competed in 3 of the 5 races so far this year, something that Eddie admitted may also be an advantage for the pair.
“Obviously I’m not racing in the Clubman series so I don’t have to worry about a championship. With the team having not competed in all races, I doubt they have too many concerns. This means that I can just race to have fun, which will be a lot easier, althought I'm obviously still going there for the win.”
