Eddie will make his long awaited return behind the wheel this Friday at a private test at the Rye House circuit. He was due to test last Thursday but heavy flooding caused it to be cancelled.
This will be the first time Eddie has driven a kart since the final round of the 2008 season in the middle of November, as he has been recuperating over the winter from severely broken ribs caused during a testing accident at the beginning of last year.
With the season opener less than two weeks away, Eddie will be hoping to be fully fit to mount his title challenge in the Sprint Championship, as well as launching a competitive campaign in the Endurance series with his new team, Target Racing.
