After a marathon 6 races in 3 weekends, Eddie only had one podium finish to his name after some dismal luck.
A lack of pace at Teesside Autodrome in both the sprint and endurance races hampered his and the team’s weekend but a fine second place in the second round of the 60 Minute Challenge series with Rich Higham followed the week after. A repeat podium the following day in the Elite Solo event was ended when Eddie tripped over the back of a competitor early on. He nevertheless swept through the field to finish inside the top 10, setting fastest lap of the race on his way.
Another disappointing race weekend at Whilton Mill saw Galliard lose more ground in the endurance series and a severe lack of driving talent from most of the field saw his Sprint championship aspirations take a knock.
The next main event is on the 14th and 15th May at Bayford Meadows where Eddie has historically done well. Eddie will be in action in a charity race at Buckmore Park on 7th May in aid of Downs Syndrome with Galliard team mate Paul Williams.
