The recent 60 minute endurance race brought Eddie yet another second place finish in what was an exciting and closely fought battle between Hall, Andy Johnson and Glen Beard that lasted for the entire race.
Eddie qualified an uninspiring 7th after a qualifying session blighted by traffic. A strong start saw him up to 5th on the opening lap before settling down in 4th place until the mandatory pit stop. Once again a slick stop brought him out ahead of Glen Beard and just behind Johnson. These 3 then pulled out a big gap over the rest of the field as they battled furiously for the final 40 minutes, each taking turns in the lead. It was Johnson, however, who did a better job in working his way through the back markers and he built up a 2 second cushion over the last few laps. The battle continued to rage between Beard and Hall over the last few laps and Eddie made a move with a couple of laps to go to snatch 2nd.
With 3 races still to go and 1 score to drop, Eddie is just 5 points behind Johnson in the championship with a strong chance of defending his title.
