Eddie has said that his trip to Japan was sometimes like "Big Brother" minus the constant attention from the camera's. Eddie said that he really enjoyed his trip and would love to go back there again, but admitted that it was really hard at times.
"The problem was that 19 of us were just put together having only seen each other for a very short space of time in Sheffield. We did all bond extremely well but it was still hard at times.
"There were a few times when I just felt trapped and wanted to talk to somebody but I never really felt comfortable sharing my problems with people I hardly new."
Eddie admitted in an interview when he got back that he was never really himself on the trip. "I just never felt comfortable being myself. I was always much more reserved than I normally am. There were a couple of people on the trip who I really got on well with - Harriet and Phil - and they were the people I came closest to being myself around, but it still wasn't the same.
Eddie said that he now knows how the contestants on Big Brother must feel like. "When you watch that program on TV, you think 'That's not hard' and 'How can you be so depressed after only a few days?'. Now I have a much better idea. I'm just glad that this wasn't Big Brother because I think I would have been one of the first to go!"
